As a young sound designer, Ben Burtt was our North Star – a legendary creative deeply inscribed in sonic canon. I could hardly imagine that one day I would walk through the door of Lucasfilm as part of the LEGO SMART Play design team, showing our teeny tiny sounds and miniature play offerings in the place it all began.
I didn’t get to meet Ben, but to be any part of the Star Wars universe is such a dream and an honor, and to lead the audio team that built the nanosynths and sound ecosystem for the SMART Brick has been the project of my lifetime. To combine these two is surreal.
